About Us
At Canvas Church, we believe God is the artist and we are the canvas. We are His workmanship, His masterpiece! We are a Christian congregation made up of different faith backgrounds that meet in the city of Bentonville and have a heart to serve the greater area of Northwest Arkansas.
Our Story
Canvas Church officially opened its doors to the community of Centerton on January 27, 2019. In September of 2020 God opened the door for us to purchase a permanent home in the city of Bentonville. At Canvas we believe each and every person is a masterpiece in process (Ephesians 2:10). Often times we are unaware of our true value and purpose, we see only our brokenness and shortcomings. Canvas is creating space where everyone is welcome, nobody is perfect, and anything is possible. We exist to create new opportunities for people to connect with Christ, serve in community, and discover beauty in the process. We believe God desires to create new purpose, new dreams, new relationships, and new life within each of us (Isaiah 43:19). We are not the artist, we are His canvas and we believe God is and will be faithful to complete the work He’s begun in each one of us (Philippians 1:6).
Our Mission
32 people are added to the community of Northwest Arkansas daily. That is nearly 1000 people a month. Some analysts believe that within the next 15-20 years we could see NWA swell to the size of a million people. There are not enough churches currently bringing healing and hope to that amount of people. There are 10 distinct communities that make up what is considered Northwest Arkansas. The long-term vision God has for Canvas is to be a resourcing church, a multiplying movement that will raise up and send out people to start churches in these 10 communities in order to serve the greater area of NWA with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
